GRADES
• Timbers are graded for appearance and heart specs: free of heart centers (FOHC), boxed heart center (BHC), and no heart spec. Specified grades of dense and select structural available.

GREEN & DRY TIMBERS
Timbers can be shipped green, kiln dried or radio frequency kiln dried. Approximate moisture contents are:
• GRN-22-24%
• KD-19% or less
• RF-14% or less

RECLAIMED TIMBER PRODUCTS
• Located in Southern Oregon next to the North Pacific Group's Export Burl Yard is the West Coast Timber Company's primary Reclaim Yard. Our inventory levels of Reclaimed timber are several million board feet and deconstruction projects feed the yard on a consistent basis. The primary species is Douglas Fir, with Antique Heart Pine molder blanks made from beams supplied by the Southern operations.

Timbers are available in #1 #2 Dense and Select Structure. Heart Specification of FOHC (Free of Heart Center), BHC (Boxed Heart Center), or NHS (No Heart Spec).

• Bright Natural Color: No chemical oxidation, heat discoloration, or brown stain during drying. RF dried wood retains its natural color with the appearance of freshly sawn wood.
• No "Wets": Wets are eliminated.
• Reduced Checking: Stress-free drying at low temperatures substantially reduces checking.
• Stress-free Wood: Even penetrative RF heating ensures that the entire cross-section of wood dries uniformly and yields an even moisture distribution from the surface to the core.
• Minimized Distortion: Timbers are restrained during drying to prevent the wood from moving during drying, nearly eliminating twist, bow, cup, crook, and warp.
• Less Shrinkage: Approximately 3% shrinkage from green compared to 5% or greater with traditional kiln dry systems.

The inventory levels help ensure that the size you need will be there ready to process into sawn beams for upcoming projects.

Our timber sizer will surface up to a 16"x20" timber. We are currently providing both rough sawn and S4S timber packages--precision milled to your exact specifications. We have a computer operated 36" diameter cut-off saw on the out feed table of the timber sizer. All timbers (RS and S4S) are delivered labeled, trimmed with 90 degree mitered ends, and ready for joinery.
