Veneer flitches are available in Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Spruce, and Pine from prime Northwestern United States, Canada, and Alaska region. The manufacturing begins with hand-picked veneer grade logs. Each log is sawn into different sizes of flitch form. These flitches are then inspected for defect; rejected pieces are sawn into lower grades of lumber. The grade which meets the customer's specific requirement will be packaged for the export shipment. In many cases, our inspector or the customer will hand pick the material through their inspection. The flitch bundle is easily moved by forklift from the mill to the container.
